i have never considered myself an overly sentimental mother. but maybe that's partly because my children are still so young. so why then, when i took eden to see 'toy story 3' today for her 4th birthday, was i sniffling my way through the movie? i'm not kidding, when andy hugs his mom in his empty bedroom as he prepares to leave for college, it took some serious self-control to not lose it. here is my sweet girl, sitting on my lap, munching on popcorn, and here am i, my tears silently falling into her long blond hair that smells like grapes.
