The Rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each person starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

so, here goes.
1) i have never been able to choose a favorite color, it constantly changes, and for some reason that bothers me. i feel like not knowing which one i like best somehow means that i don't 'know myself'
2) i LOVE lilacs. they remind me of my childhood in iowa and i wish i could have them in my house all the time. unfortunately, they don't grow very well in houston so i have to settle for a scented candle.
3) my dad used to call me julie-boolie. and beaner, b/c i really liked green beans.
4) you know how when you're on a roller coaster and they take a picture of you during the ride? well, one time my little bro and i were on one and he happened (!) to have a copy of the book "life of pi" with him; he took it out and began reading it aloud to me during the ride. so we paid the ridonculous $10 for a picture of us reading a book on the roller coaster while everyone else was screaming. we thought we were pretty funny....(i love you ben)
5) i built a guitar when i was in the 7th grade. my music teacher, mr. vanderhart gave our whole class the option to build one (from scratch!) in his workshop, and only me and one other girl did it. my dad helped me. the sad part of the story is, i was almost finished with it but then turned into a true junior high girl and forgot about it. while i was in high school my dad finished the last part of staining it for me and gave it to me, and it is now one of my most valuable possessions. although my skills are lacking--the only song i can really jam out to is "he's got the whole world in his hands" (cause it's only 2 chords)
6) i am afraid of flying. even though i do it a lot, i get really really nervous. just ask dan. he no longer feels sympathy for me, but now just gets annoyed when i start to hyperventilate during turbulence. (and yes, I KNOW it's safer than driving on the freeway in my car, still doesn't help)
7) one time when were camping when i was little i fell in a fire pit and rather than take me to the emergency room, my parents made me wear a sock on my arm as a bandage.
8) i have an obsession with chapstick, lip gloss, lip products in general. i am pretty sure if you went through my entire house and car, you would find somewhere around 50 lip products, possibly more (i am an addict and i can admit it). mostly stuff designed for 10 year old girls, like bonne bell and lip smackers.
9) (bonus fact) i REALLY like to use parentheses when i write

The roller coaster tidbit is hilarious and reminds me of why we're friends. I have one (somewhere) of my friend and I sleeping, and one of us flipping the camera off. We laughed so hard at the tvs after the ride and I'm sure parents all around us were livid. Good times, good times.

you have more quirks that we got a bonus one! i too, love the roller coaster bit. reminds me of the time when my cousin and i tied our ankles together and went to the movie theater. we thought we were hilarious that we walked around and sat like that the entire time. i don't think anyone else cared. but i would have laughed if i saw the pic of the two of you reading. it's pretty funny...
