there's this great song by the avett brothers called spanish pipedream and the chorus goes:

"blow up your tv, throw away your paper,

along with black velvet by alannah myles, i shall be released by the band, tender by blur, songbird by eva cassidy, and stand by r.e.m.  but those are all songs for another day and other pictures...

last weekend we decided to skip church (just trying to follow the lyrics of the song about finding jesus...) and took a drive to country.  or at least, headed out of houston to see the last of the bluebonnets out past brenham.  it was a pretty day, and did us good.
