today was a preview of the summer days to come. eden, carter, and their buddy chapman splashed in the pool this morning, and we went to a san jacinto day bbq (gotta celebrate texas independence, you know!) this afternoon. carter found himself a chair (please ignore that it is a UT one, our dordt loyalty is still strong, sort of) and some watermelon and went to town. i love lazy saturdays.
by the way, how do you like our pool upgrade? (what were we thinking?!?)

When Carter graduates from UT, he will make more than enough to buy a new pool for you guys. Just make sure he doesn't go to A&M like Mr. Brent.
