what my 2 year old thinks about

lately eden has been talking a lot about her birthday. pretty much on a daily basis she informs me 'i am 2 now, but 'in the summer, on july 6, i will be 3'
so today in the car after she mentioned her bday for the 4th time, i asked her what she wanted for her present and she said, 'scissors'
i said, 'what are you going to do with scissors'
she said, 'mom' (in extremely exasperated voice), 'i'm going to clip stuff with them'
then, a few minutes later she said, 'no, i don't want a scissors, we already have one.'
so i said, 'if not scissors, then what would you like?'
and she said, 'a car'
and i said, 'really'
and she said, 'yes, a very sparkly car'
