we also celebrated for real this time, (belated) eden's 1st bday. she got to celebrate with her droog cousins and both grandparents. it was a nice visit, and we were reminded how thankful we are for both of our families. and for good cake too. props to casey's bakery for the finished product. they were a little concerned when i told them i didn't want dora or cinderella or some other cartoon character on the cake.
