our trip started off a bit rocky (no pun intended:)--a few days before we left, eden came down with a 103+ fever that would not go away. after stressful doc and hospital visits, her fever came down enough that we still decided to go--one day late. and we are so glad we did! after a few days she was back to her old self.
we flew into calgary where we met my parents, then drove up to jasper national park for a few days. then down to banff and lake louise area, and we also explored yoho park. we camped, hiked, climbed on glaciers, swam in hot/cold springs, stood under waterfalls, put our feet in some VERY cold mountain lakes, and so much more. we saw 3 black bears and 1 grizzly, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, caribou and other wildlife. the weather was great, with the exception of waking up in the morning SO COLD (it got down in the 40s at night)!
we also celebrated eden's 1st birthday! i can't believe our girl is 1 already--as we were camping we had a small celebration, but i think eden enjoyed her hostess cupcake just fine...
